Inclusive Global Media (IGM) is a non-profit community-based organisation that uses the power of media to protect and promote children's rights. We believe every child deserves a voice, safety, and the opportunity to grow in a nurturing environment.
Through storytelling, digital platforms, and advocacy, we help children speak up, learn, lead change, and become champions in their communities. Our work focuses on three key areas: Content Creation, Climate Justice, and Community-Based Tourism.
We place media tools directly into the hands of children, empowering them to tell their own stories and advocate for their rights. Our work includes:
Inclusive Global Media was born not from a boardroom strategy, but from a practical experience. In 2019, Chimanimani district in Zimbabwe was ravaged by Tropical Cyclone Idai. Communications strategist, Steve Ephraem, who frequently visited the place observed that when Chimanimani citizens, disaster experts and other stakeholders reflected on the cyclone (analyses on what had been, policy post-mortems, and what must come next), their narratives had a missing link; the voice of the child.
It is an iron that communities declare that “the future belongs to the young” but it is the same society that shut doors on the voice of the child. That contradiction of claiming to build for the next generation while refusing to let that generation speak was the basis of giving birth to Inclusive Global Media. The organisation is empowering the child to be included in the community narratives. Inclusive Global Media’s philosophy is taking the voice of the child as the main story, not a footnote.
Our mission is to empower children voice through media. We educate, advocate, and inspire action so that every child knows their rights. We create safe and inclusive spaces where young people can access information and influence the decisions that shape their lives. By amplifying their voices, we help build a future where children are not just spoken about, but speak themselves and listened to.
